In seek of a motel to stay dry for the evening, we ran into Seligman where Historic Route 66 meets Highway 40, only 22 miles east of the Grand Canyon Caverns. It was a no-brainer when we saw the Historic Route 66 Motel.
Once we checked-in and marveled over our kitschy route 66-decorated room, we ventured out to explore the cute town that looks like it came out of the movie Cars, memorabilia, and historic district of antiques.
We ate at Westside Lilo’s Cafe for breakfast, contrary to the popular Roadkill Cafe, and we are so very glad we did! There’s nothing like a warm home-cooked breakfast on a rainy morning.
A definite stop on Historic Route 66!
