A great detour between Kingman and Seligman, Arizona off Highway 40 is the classic Route 66. You feel like you own the two-lane road as you cruise through the colorful plains. We were following a rainstorm, so the clouds were magnificent and the roads were slicked with the wet look, as we drove by little forgotten towns. We found a rainbow and stopped to take pictures somewhere along the 22-mile stretch between the animated pitstop at the Grand Canyon Caverns and the little town of Seligman, Arizona.
You can just feel the freedom!
